WARNING : If you’re a huge HG fan, you may not like this post…. Spoiler Alert – don’t read if you haven’t seen the movie and don’t wanna know what could happen.
Ok so maybe I’m way late in the whole Hunger Games bandwagon however I was into the “50 Shades of Grey” series when I first heard about “The Hunger Games” and I was more interested in….other things. I recently noticed that the movie was on Netflix so I thought… why not?!
I didn’t get it.
Not only did it take us 2 days to finish and get through the movie, but we were still confused after seeing it. I grew up with and like SciFi and I do love a good romance…. But I just couldn’t get into this one… What was up with the pseudo romance between the 2 main characters? Someone please tell me that she was faking falling for him to save his life and be able to work together because I didn’t believe there was any chemistry between them whatsoever. It made me feel like I wanted to and should read the rest of the books just to see for myself what was going to happen with them and when she’d confess that she really didn’t fall for him because she’s in love with the Hemsworth brother…. What’s his name? Chris? Mike? Cutie Pie?
I will say that I was impressed with the making of this movie in general … Between the (semi) action, the CGI and all of the other special effects it did keep me intrigued …. To a point. It was a well made flick. I will probably end up reading the last 2 books and hopefully have a different reaction … *Sigh.
All in all I give this movie 3 thumbs up…… Because I can.

They left a lot out. I read all three books. I felt like the movie was the cliff notes to the book. If you read the first boom it should fill in any questions you had. Xoxo
