Registries can be overwhelming and so new for most parents! The very first time I registered with our first baby, Olivia, I can tell you I was extremely overwhelmed and I felt like I had no idea what I was doing (story of mom life haha). We went to Babies R US, they explained everything, gave us a check list and a scanner and we went through the store scanning everything we thought we would need! While it felt a little bit like Supermarket Sweep and was a bit fun, I knew I didn’t want to do it the same way for the second baby.
This time I found the PERFECT registry for us. It’s called BabyList. Here, you can put anything your little heart desires on your registry and the best part is, it all doesn’t have to be from one store! How many of you are registered at 2-3 different places because one store doesn’t have what you really want? Well, now you can have everything in one spot from all of those different stores!
BabyList has guidelines to help you pick out the right stroller, car seat etc and they have different styled sample registries (this one is my favorite one) that you can look through to see if there is something on that list that you love and want on your own registry. There’s also an app for that. 🙂
The second time around, we definitely don’t “need” a lot of “stuff” so we just registered for a few basics.
- A white noise machine is a MUST in our house, and we have this same one for Olivia so we knew we wanted it for the new baby for sure.
- We knew we were going to need that double stroller and extra seat, so we found the one for us and added it to the list!
- If you know me, you know I’m obsessed with baby wearing. This Solly Baby Wrap is my absolute FAVORITE baby wrap for the first year of life!
- You can, of course, put your diapers and wipes on there too – so you know I had to add my one and only Honest Co diapers 🙂
- My favorite item that you can put on your registry is under the “Help & Favors” portion. Here you can add things you might need, like a meal or help with the baby. You can also add help for other people in other countries through UNICEF and other charities. This to me was and is amazing to be able to give back to someone who doesn’t have the same luxuries that we have.
PS You can also add anything from Etsy onto your registry…. hellooooooo. 🙂 I’m just sayin’, it’s worth checking out if you are expecting a little bundle of joy in the near or distant future!
