Hi friends! I’ve been posting a lot about how much we love Matcha in our house and I’ve been getting some questions about how we make it, so I wrote it out for you! Japan is one of our most favorite places on the planet and drinking matcha reminds us of the amazing times we’ve spent there. Matcha will always have a special place in our hearts, for sure. We also really try to limit the amount of coffee because of my thyroid and matcha and tea are great alternatives.
** We’re using our matcha bowl and matcha scoop, but you can use a teaspoon and also make everything over the stove in a pot. **
- 2 scoops (or teaspoons) into your bowl (or pot).
- Add one cup of warm water (anything past hot or boiling will make your matcha bitter).
- Stir with a matcha whisk.
- Add one cup of non dairy milk. We used almond milk.
- Add one tablespoon of maple syrup for sweetness.
This made 2 servings for us. It’s important to get great quality matcha so that you can also get all of the antioxidant and detoxing benefits, as well as the cancer fighting elements from it.
Do you guys matcha?? What’s your recipe? I’d love to know!
Love & Light,
Crystal
