If you know anything about us, you know that we are not big drinkers. In fact, we stopped drinking all together about 6 years ago (after a very long night that I’ll spare you the details from). Recently, we decided that if we were going to drink any kind of alcohol again it would have to be worth it in every way. We’re not drinking to get drunk as grown adults, but we can now have a drink together and talk about our day.
We discovered Teremana Tequila and boy were we impressed. Not only with their product but also with their mission. Teremana means Spirit of the Earth and they embody that to the fullest. They are fully transparent in their brand and they craft their tequila in a family-owned distillery in a small town in Mexico. They are committed to reducing their impact on the land and reducing their footprint in any way, which is something we can absolutely get behind!
We opted for the Reposado, aged in former bourbon barrels and distilled in copper pots, which produces a cleaner and smoother tequila. This isn’t a “shooting” tequila but a sipping tequila. It has notes of oak and vanilla, zero grams of sugar, and certified Gluten Free.
Today we’re drinking a Traditional “Manarita” and Teremana Old Fashioned for National Tequila Day.
What about you? Let me know in the comments!
*PLEASE DRINK RESPONSIBLY*
“Two brothers were raised by an alcoholic father. One grew up to be an alcoholic and when asked what happened, he said, ‘I watched my father’. The other grew up and never had a drink and when asked why he said ‘I watched my father’. Your perspective will determine your future.” – Kirk Franklin
I‘ve had a love/hate relationship with alcohol because of being raised by an alcoholic father. There is a way to drink responsibly as an adult and it doesn’t mean shots and getting wasted every time you go out. It’s being self-aware enough to also know not to drink at all if you can’t handle it. Please know that there are people out there that can help you if you think you have a problem or know someone who might have a problem with alcohol.
